What Are The Chances Of Pregnancy If Taken The Pills Late ?

I've been on the pill for the last 3 months--never missed a pill but some weren't exactly taken on time (approximately + or - 3hrs). On my last pill from my third pack, i had an unprotected sex. What are my chances of pregnancy? Am I also protected even if I didn't use back up protection within the 7-day free pill?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

If you did have sexual intercourse on the last day of the pill, chances of pregnancy are indeed less. But it is always advised to use backup during the pill-free period. As your situation is somewhat in between the border, it would be best to use the backup protection and also get tested for pregnancy.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
