What Are The Chances Of Rectal Gonorrhea Without Having Anal Intercourse?

My bf and I both have blood in our stool. I have been faithful but was concerned so had a urine sample for gonorrhea and that was negative. I'm
concerned because I see that if the infection is in the rectum a urine sample would or could show negative result . I also had a bad flu that lasted 3 days then got a bad
cold which has stuck around for a whole
month. I'm wondering, could this be a gastro flu or swine flu ? I still ahould be tested through a swab for the STD but wonder and hope it's not that. Can you even get rectal gonnorhea without having anal intercourse? I can't imagine him being unfaithful but the
mind works wonders .

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Blood in stools can occur in number of conditions.
Gastrointestinal tract (GIT) infection is the commonest cause of blood in stools.
Stool examination should be carried out to look for evidence of infection.
Gonorrhea does not usually present with blood in stools.
Gonorrhea is characterized by discharge most commonly.
Blood in stools is not a feature of gonorrhea.
In case the stool test is negative for infection, colonoscopy should be done to look for the status of colon and rectum.
In case discharge is also present, the discharge should be examined for evidence of gonorrhea.

Thanks and take care
