What Are The Chances Of Recurrence Of ASD In A 2 Years Old?
My daughter (2years)went threw the ASD closure in 7th August,it was an open heart surgery, now she has little bit effusion...as I told to restrict fluid intake 800cc ...my concern is,before the surgery I usually feel her heart beat when I touch her chest, now I am again feeling her heartbeat..is this is normal,.......is there is any chance of reoccurance....what will this effusion cause....
Dear I am sorry for the surgery your daughter had You can check her current status by scheduling a heart echocardiography Heartbeat are normal to be felt, nothing to worry about that Effusion can persist after surgery, normally it needs some time to go away, you should control it by periodic echocardiography Recidive is quit rare so I don't think you have reason to worry too much Hope my answer helps you Feel free to ask other questions Best regards Wiah you all the best Dr Drilona Kenga Cardiologist
