What Are The Chances To Be Pregnant With Positive Pregnancy Result At Home?

i took a pregnancy test, it showed positive for about 2 minutes that it went away. went i open the test (to where is see the test strip without the casing) the HCG sponge is purple like the dye on the test. i read somewhere using too much much urine can wash away the positive results, and seeing the dye where it shouldnt be makes it believable. i used two full droppers, and your only supposed to do 4 drops. i didnt think the amount mattered, but now im freaking out because i dont have an answer. is there still a chance im pregnant with the line having "washed away" or is it a negative result reguardless of what was on the test for a few mins?

Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM

You should repeat urine pregnancy test after one week.
In early pregnancy,urine pregnancy test may be weakly positive or false negative due to less amount of HCG hormone in urine.
Lining on the stripe will not be washed away by urine.
However,Ultrasound of pelvis is the investigation of choice for confirmation of pregnancy as it can detect G-sac earliest.
