What Are The Complications If Vyvanse Is Not Metabolized Quickly By Body Before A Renal Surgery?

I AM SCHEDULED TO HAVE AN ILEOSTOMY/RECTAL SURGERY ON 10/1/12... I AM CURRENTLY TAKING VYVANSE 40MG PO DAILY...OF COURSE IT IS RECOMMENDED TO STOP MEDICATION 2 WKS PRIOR TO SURGERY..WHAT ARE THE COMPLICATIONS AND DOESN T THE BODY METABOLIZE THIS DRUG RATHER QUICKLY?

Hi,

Vyavanse is lusdexamphetamine and it can cause mild cardiovascular problems while giving anesthetic drugs. Nothing much to worry and it is not an absolute contraindication for surgery. Nothing will happen even if it stays in the body.
