What Are The Complications Of Contracting Herpes Despite Having Lymphedema?

My fiancé has herpes. We haven t had sex, as we are abstaining until our wedding day. I have primary lymphedema. We are going to take every precaution after we are married to insure that I don t contract herpes, but if I do contract herpes, how will that be with my lymphedema? I m affected in 3 out of 4 limbs (not my left hand). It s something that has been really devastating to us, as he contracted herpes with his 3rd sexual partner (his girl-friend at the time cheated on him) and he hasn t had sex since. I love him and I am not worried. But I do want to know what to expect.

You should go for protected intercourse inorder to avoid transmission of herpes from your partner but if you still contract herpes there would be no impact over your lymphodema.
