What Are The Consequences Of Inhaling Plastic Fumes During Pregnancy?

I went over to my parents house today, after ten minutes of being there, I noticed that they were burning something in their burning barrel. I asked is there plastic in there , and they said, maybe some, I think there was a binder with some plastic inserts in there . I am panicking now, because I am 5 weeks pregnant, and I am afraid that I hailing those fumes for 10-15 minutes may harm my baby, or hinder their development! (I don t know what else was in the barrel at the time, but I made sure to leave the area asap, once I realized!)

General & Family Physician 's  Response
there is nothing to worry as the plastic fumes quantity will not produce any problem to the baby. Your body will protect the baby as the duration is very less. See to it you are not exposed more because carbon monoxide might cause when exposes for long term. Hope this helps.
