What Are The Consequences Of Stopping Pills?

hi..my question is that what would possibly happen if I stop taking pills?does it have side effects?it's because my husband works abroad so I only intend to use the pills when he's at home..after taking the pill on the first day,how long do you have to wait to have unprotected but safe sex?
