Approximately 6 months ago, I had an unprotected Sexual encounter (heterosexual). I know better than this, but such was my mistake. I have had extreme guilt and anxiety about this every since in addition to being someone who often has OCD. Following the exposure I was tested Three times for Gonorrhea & Chlamydia. All tests were negative. I was also tested for HIV at 3, 4 & 5 months also negative. I had two Urinalysis done for other reasons that each said I did not show WBC in my urine. My long winded question is that I have read numerous sites which reference Non-Chlamydia NGU. I don t think that I have had symptoms, but I am still worried. I seem to have excess urine dribble after urinating. Sometimes upto 20 minutes after I can milk a drop of urine out. This is only discovered because I check myself often due to paranoid tendencies. Should I have an additional Swap test done to check for this NGU? Should I be checked for Herpes? I was told that Herpes is not something to check for without symptoms?
Hi, Welcome to HCM. You are free from Gonorrhea and Chlamydia. Negative HIV test 3 months after high risk activity ruled out HIV. Without any symptoms Herpes test is not necessary for you. Dribbling of urine after the act of urination is common for everybody and is not related to HIV. Nothing to worry. Dr S.Murugan
