hello doctor,
One month back i came to know that im suffering from pcod. Immediately i started taking hyponidd tablets as prescribed by me gynac. Last time i had my periods from 1 march 2011. Im 24 yrs old and married trying to get pregnant. These days im facing much soring of my breasts n dizziness n little change in the color of my nipples also can i be pregnant? Please advise

Hallow Dear,

Missing the period is the cardinal symptom of pregnancy. Any other symptom suggesting pregnancy without missing period have to be rule out for other causes.

I would have appreciated had you mentioned how many days have passed from your last menstrual period. However, it is very much likely that due to PCOS, your menstrual cycles may be irregular and hence you cannot figure out whether you have missed your period or not.

I would not have given much importance only to the sore breasts; however, darkening of the nipples is highly suggestive of pregnancy. Without pregnancy, such change is very rare.

Please get your urine pregnancy test and/or ultrasonography performed for detection of pregnancy. By the time the nipples get darkened these tests are conclusive.
