Hi, I am 16 years old, 65-70 kilos, 1.63 meter high and I started taking primolut N about 1 week after my first time having sex. Did not use protection so there was a small chance that I might could be pregnant, but didn t think of it too much. I stopped taking primolut N yesterday, so if my period doesn t arrive in a few days, I might really be pregnant? And If I am, will there be risks of any damage to the baby because I used primolut N? Or what if I became pregnant during taking primolut N? Would it hurt my baby or pregnancy in any way? Hope for answer soon! I m really worried now. Thanks!
Yes there is a chance that you could be pregnant. If you do not get your period in a week's time ,please do a urine pregnancy and if positive visit a gynaecologist. Primolut contains progesterone hormone and it is very very unlikely that it will affect the baby ,if at all you are pregnant. But at 16 years of age I would advise to you take proper contraceptive precautions in the future and get yourself tested for STDs. Think of a long term contraceptive method like Copper T or if you want pills consider regular Estrogen plus progesterone pills instead of just primolut.
Hope this helps. Regards.
