What Are The Effects Of Post Polio Syndrome?

My husband has been experiencing Post Polio Syndrome for the last 20 years. In November he had surgery for a cervical spinal cord compression and the surgery seems to have been successful. During the two months that he has been hospitalized, he had been over medicated (psychiatrist conclusion) and now as a result of that he has been placed into a psychiatric hospital in Amarillo, Tx where we have no drs. that know much about how polio affects a person or little about Post Polio syndrome and it's effect. Can you put me in touch with someone in the West TX area or Dallas area that might be able to help make these drs. who are just going from one medication to another to help him get better?
