What Are The Effects Of Mifepristone On Foetus?

Hi,

I took the first mifepristone yesterday at 11am but other than a few cramps haven't had any effects. I was dated as being 7 weeks 4 days pregnant. Having this day to think is giving me time to think about keeping it!! Could you please point me in the direction of proper medical research that shows the effects of this medication on the foetus? I'm aware that nobody can guarantee that I won't miscarry in the next few weeks because of the medication or that it won't be born without deformities but I would like to know the true extent to which these effects are likely?

it would be dangerous to continue the pregnancy at this point, because it has been compromised. there isn't enough data or evidence regarding deformities, but you are at risk of early loss, early labor, poor placentation with fetal growth problems, and many other problems. I am so so sorry that you are having second thoughts at this point. I wish you the best, but medically speaking you would be I'll advised to continue the pregnancy. most likely, the decision won't be yours anyway, as the mifepristone will most likely work and you will miscarry. I hope that I was helpful, please let me know if you have any further questions.
