What Are The Effects Of Overdose Of BP Medication?

By accident I took too much of my blood pressure medication. At 10 am I took 10mg amlodipine besylate, along with 100mg metroprolol trtrate, 150 mg bupropion hcl sr and 37.5-25 mg triamterene-htcz. Then about 4pm with my bp so high, I thought I forgot to take the metroprolol, which I am currently taking 2 50mg tabs at a time until the script runs out. Unfortunately I took 2 of the amlodipine besylate, making it a total of 30 mg for the day. I am uninsured and cannot afford an unnecessary trip to the hospital, after being so in debt from just getting the treatment and prescriptions.

HI
Welcome to H C M
I am Dr B M GUPTA answering your question
Its wrong and risky to take over doses of medicines ,but doesn't worry, relax
First of all take complete bed rest.
Get your blood pressure and heart rate exam.
Normal BP at age less than 65 yrs is 140/90 ,age more than 65 Yrs is 150/90
If BP is less than 90/60 you should go to hospital
If heart rate is less than 60/minute go to hospital.
Otherwise nothing to worry you would be alright.
Cut salt in any form
Always mention your age and detail of medicines you are prescribed
Good luck
