What Are The Effects Of Repetitive Intake Of Emergency Contraceptives?

I took ECP on October 31st and got an early period beginning on November 5 which ended on November 9. Unfortunately I had to take ECP again on November 16 due to an accident with the condom. Today I just got my period again exactly a week after taking ECP. I m worried about how this is affecting my body, please give me some insight. Thank you.

Hi,
Emergency contraceptive pills are washed off from the body in few days. If repeated doses of emergency contraceptives are taken they may cause temporary irregularity of your periods. They do not have long term effect on menstrual cycles. They do not effect your future fertility.

If you do not wish to get pregnant, I advise you to consult your doctor and take regular effective contraception like hormonal contraception or get an intrauterine devise fitted as these are more effective in preventing pregnancy and save you from unwanted stress.
i hope I have answered to your satisfaction. If you have any further queries do contact me through Healthcare Magic.
