What Are The Findings From The Blood Test And Will My Liver Return To Normal Condition?
HI, I have lab results from a blood test as follows ; ALT 58, GGT 175, Ferritin 379, serum CRP 8.3, I m aware abstinence from alcohol is required, I have had ultra sound on liver and kidneys no abnormality was detected, Will my liver return to normal ?
Increased ALT,GGT and increased ferritin level indicates liverinjury. It is important to know about other parameters of LFT like bilirubin level etc. It is most likely due to alcohol consumption. You need proper clinical examination and few more investigations. Other investigations include routine hemogram,RBS(Random blood sugar),Viral markers.Further investigations can be done if needed.
You may need medicines after proper checkup. You should avoid alcohol completely. Avoid fatty and fried junk food. Hope i have answered your query.
