What Are The Foul Smelling White Balls Coming Out Of The Throat?

Hi there.
Sometimes once or twice a week little white balls comes out of my throat. And they smell very bad. 1st i thot its just food deposit left in my throat but I dnt think it's food. Evn a little blood comes out when I try hard to clean my throat. I had tuberculosis before and blood use to come frm my mouth alot but that was long time ago.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.

As per your complain and presentation of symptoms foul smelling white balls that are coming out of your throat are Tonsil Stones or Tonsilloliths which are formed due to calcification of food remnants and dust over the tonsil crypts leading to formation of small white bad smelling particles..
The blood in your saliva on spitting is occurring due to vigorous cleaning causing injury and bleeding and there can also be mild inflammation on tonsils which is more commonly seen in cases of tonsil stones.

Nothing to worry as although tonsil stones are harmless but can cause recurrent episodes of throat infection..

You should maintain a good oral hygiene and always gargle after meals to remove all debris and food particles..
Do warm saline gargles atleast 2 to 3 times a day.
Gargle with antimicrobial mouthwash.
Limit the intake of milk and dairy products as they are high in calcium and can increase incidence of calcification.

You can remove the tonsil stones from tonsils using a q-tip gently..
