What Are The Health Risks For A Diabetic Adult ?

Hello! Happy New Year firstly :-) My dad is a 45 year old,he first got diabetes when he was around 41-42 I m kind of worried because I m afraid of the risks he has since he was diabetes because my dad s aunt also had diabetes,and she went blind because of it,which is horrible! Does diabetes increase the chance of blindess,or heart attack ,or such health risks? Thank you!

Diabetes when uncontrolled leads to such problems. Make sure your dad goes in for regular sugar checks and monitoring with follow up with his doc. MAintain a good diabetic diet for him and see that he takes continuous treatment without missing doses of medicines. He should be fine.
