What Are The Home Remedies For Cancrum Oris Apart From Ibuprofen Taken 3 Days?
I have some canker sores on the inside of my lip in front of my lower teeth as well as several on the roof of my mouth. I've been taking ibuprofen for the past 3 days and it takes the edge off but doesn't get rid of most of the pain. It's making it very hard to eat and even drink. I'm not sure what else I can do at home to help. I know I should see my doctor if they don't go away after 3 weeks, but I don't want to wait that long. I just need a little relief. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
Hi ! Good evening. I am Dr Shareef answering your query.
If I were your doctor, I would first look into your oral hygiene, and advise you for some kind of anti septic gargles several times a day, like povidone iodine preparation. Also you might need some antibiotics specially against anaerobic organisms for the oral cavity. This is a fast growing condition if not treated properly, and so you should also consult your treating doctor soon.
I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts. Thanks for choosing health care magic to clear doubts on your health problems. Wishing you an early recovery. Dr Shareef.
