I am a 28 year old female who recently had a 3 week long relapse on crystal meth. I have stopped using about 24-36 hours ago and just now noticed a few bright red bumps around my thigh and buttocks. I also have some bruising on the back of my legs but that has been going on since I started using. There are only 2 fairly small spots and they do not hurt...they are slightly raised and very bright red. Is there some type of home remedy I can use? I just flew far away from home to visit family and do not want to inconvenience them with a doctor s appointment...besides I have no insurance and very little funds.
Hi. As per your case history you are having allergic dermatitis. My treatment advice is - 1. Avoid using any new products like soap or perfume. 2. Apply a mild antibiotic plus steroid cream like fusiderm-b cream twice daily on affected skin. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days. 4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
