What Are The Ill Effects Of Oral Sex?

Hi. I gave my boyfriend oral last night and I woke up today with a cold sore. I didn't have any symptoms of it last night because I wouldn't of done it if I had. Is it possible I have passed it on? Should he get checked out by a doctor? He is very worried. Please help :(

I have gone through your query and can understand..

As per your complain the first thing that I would like to tell you is that the a cold sore is a viral infection caused by Herpes Simplex Virus and there is an incubation period that is the period between the time of exposure to the virus and appearance of symptoms of disease and in case of herpes it takes from 2 days to 12 days after the exposure to the virus that the disease will show symptoms..
So in case if you had an exposure last night eruption of cold sore so early does not look convincing and it can be a simple bacterial infection or an acne that has occurred..
You should still wait and watch and if there is formation of clusters of small fluid filled bumps you may consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated and after a thorough clinical evaluation and running tests proper diagnosis can be made and treatment can be planned..
As of now you can apply an antiseptic ointment and do cool compresses..
