What Are The Long Term Side Effects Of Glimy And Glyciphage?

I am 59 years and diabetic. as my blood suger was high ( fasting 300) the doctor advised me to take glymi 1mg and glysyphage 1gm with insulin 35 units in morning ad 32 in evening. Now my blood suger is under control (115 fasting)
Please advise if these medicines are having any side effects in the long run.
