What Are The Long Term Side Effects Of Prolonged Intake Of Pepcid?
My husband is taking Pepcid 20mg once a day for a duodenal ulcer (also Carafate1Gm four times a day). He feels the Pepcid helps the most with a horrible, persistent taste in his mouth when he eats. Most of the time he doesn t finish eating because the taste is so offensive. He d like to take the Pepcid before each meal to keep the taste from developing. Would this be a massive overdose or could he safely increase the frequency? (He s also taking Lisinopril, Amoldipine and Catapres for his hypertension, Synthroid, and Klonipin sp?) Thanks for any guidance you my offer.

I really appreciate your concern, if this is the PPI (Proton pump inhibitor) given for acid peptic disease or for ulcer condition then right dose of this is 40 mg once in day for six weeks and it has to be taken at the time of evening, hope this information helps.
