my sister was 2 months pregnant but when they did scanning, the heartbeat was not there for the baby, hence they did abortion 2 days back, first time when she was pregnant it was in 2008, for the same reason they did abortion, what are the medical reasons for the no hearbeat. 1. What are the medical reasons for no heatbeat for the baby 2. she was pregnant in 2008, after that in 2011 only she conceived, why she is not able to conceive soon? 3. Now, when she can conceive again

Hi,
Unfotonately there is no medical reason why there is no heart beat.Its usually due to a developmental anomaly.This is called blighted ovum.She can start trying for conception after 2-3 mths,but its not possible to say why she couldnt conceive sooner after the first MTP without more tests.Ask her to consult a fertility specialist and plan the next pregnancy if she has difficulty in conception next time.Some tests may need to be done.
