What Are The Options Available For Treatment Of Bone Spurs In The Neck?

I have bone spurs in my neck that are pressing on the spinal cord causing pain and discomfort. I recently had a laminectomy on my lumbar and I've heard that there are newer laser options that I could have considered. I was not given the options. I'm hesitating to send the MRI results to the same Dr. for fear that he will want to perform the same old surgery on my neck. I want to know other options. Help please. Are there newer options? What are they called?
