I was diagnosed with low risk hpv. I have been married for 25 years, my husband is the only sexual partner I have ever had and he assures me I am the only sexual partner he has had. I am devastated by this diagnosis as all the research says it a sexually transmitted disease. My husband has a history of warts on his hands but that was prior to my knowing him.
Body warts (over the fingers) can be inoculated to genitals while manipulation. You had not mentioned why you have gone for HPV test and what are your complaints or present lesions.
Are you sure that your husband is not having any warts either over his hands or genitals? Consult a Dermatovenereologist and get examined, then you will be able to come to a conclusion.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
