What Are The Possible Reasons For Too Much Burping?

my 7 year old son has been burping a lot for a few weeks,,,, tonight he has burped for about an hour....he says he does not hurt just needs to burp.... i know he has probably swallowed a lot of air because we made him eat his peas and he doesnt like the taste of them so he swallows them with water....this could be our problem but i have never seen this in him before and it worries me can you give me some possible reasons....

Swallowing air is a common cause.
What you have described is likely to cause burping. You should not worry. Just let him walk about a bit. Burping will decrease over time.
Conditions like Giardiasis can cause a lot of burping but in your son's case the cause seems obvious.
You may also consider substituting peas (which he doesn't like) with some other healthy food that he likes.
