What Are The Possible Treatments For ARDS ?

My dad was diagnose with ARDS two weeks ago. He is on profolof, morphine, vecronium, and many more meds. He had a aneurysm 5years ago. His BP, o2sat, and HR is been unstable whenever they try to change his position. My dad is also taking inticuagolant through IV due to blood clot on his right arm. They stop the heparin today because he started having some GI bleeding. my dad is 57 years old and very healthy. Please help

Thanks for your query.
ARDS treatment mainly depends on mechanical ventilation strategies, antibiotics, other supportive treatment like in your father's case, heparin.
It usually takes time and if patient remains stable with the parameters, weaning is tried.
Apart from supporting the respiratory and other systems, other measures are worth mentioning like measures to prevent ventilator associated pneumonia, bed sores etc...
