Over the last 6 months, I have been experiencing increased incidents of tachycardia with extreme weakness and what seems like shivers (w/o the chill...that is the only way I know how to explain it. I was diagnosed with high blood pressure approximately 2 years ago. I was taking Atenelol which seemed to control the BP, but have Raynaud's and experienced a worsening of those symptoms last winter. My M.D. thought a change to a calcium-channel blocker would be better for the Raynaud's, and I am now trying the 2nd calcium-channel blocker, which is Nifedopine. My BP was continue to be high, so last week my Nifedopine dose was doubled. As an aside, I was recently diagnosed with Adrenal fatigue, but have not begun taking meds yet (the nurse is checking to be certain I can take the meds, as I have Factor Five Liden). After the Adrenal fatigue dx, I recalled a CT scan from years ago that showed something questionable with my adrenal glands (I can't recall now exactly what was said), but was sent for a PET scan, but there were no malignancies. I have also been having bouts of tachycardia, some nausea, and extreme sweats, accompanied by sudden onset of headache. In September, I went to a local ER during one of the episodes, where EKG and CAT scan were normal. Still, I wonder if all of this is not somehow related. I am trying to hold-out on making another PCP/MD visit until after the first of the year when my healthcare spending account has money in it again. I would love your thoughts on this matter
