@ Mahavir, the best thing you can do is visit neatest swine-flu care center in Pune...

The Union Government has identified the Dr. Naidu Infectious Disease Hospital, Pune the facility in Pune for testing, isolation, and critical care of suspected/ confirmed swine flu patients. The Pune Airport(Lohegaon) Authorities have set up a screening facility at the Pune Airport(Lohegaon) for all the inbound passengers flying to Pune, to prevent clock.

The government has also identified National Institute of Virology as an additional facility for Swine Flu testing.

The sick person should not have visitors other than caregivers. A phone call is safer than a visit. If possible, have only one adult in the home take care of the sick person. Avoid having pregnant women care for the sick person. (Pregnant women are at increased risk of influenza-related complications and immunity can be suppressed during pregnancy). All persons in the household should clean their hands with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand rub frequently, including after every contact with the sick person or the person?s room or bathroom. Use paper towels for drying hands after hand washing or dedicate cloth towels to each person in the household. For example, have different colored towels for each person. If possible, consideration should be given to maintaining good ventilation in shared household areas (e.g., keeping windows open in restrooms, kitchen, bathroom, etc.).

i read in a article that children and old age are more prone to swine flu. because there defense mechanism is weak so they are at high risk. i agree with you being educated we should not delay, take your child to hospital for culture. go for govt hospitals, private hospitals does not have this testing facility.

Monika's  Response
Yes. If you have a good immune system it might be the case that the flu does not affect u at all. In some cases there might be a case that the flu has entered your body and went away and u are not even aware of it. The good ways to keep yourself healthy is not to go to crowded places, not to eat out side, if u know some one who is infected by the virus try not to meet him/her. Rest what ever be the caase swine flu is not so deadly. So u should not worry much about it. You should consult a doctor if u find flu like symptoms.
