What Are The Reason For Cramps That Resemble Period Cramps After Having Protected Sex?

My period ended on Oct. 31, and I had protected sex on Saturday November 2. Ever since then I ve been having cramps that resemble period cramps. Could I be pregnant? I mean the sex was protected, no tears or slips, we re very careful? It s worrying me that I don t know what s causing these cramps.

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The mild cramps in the lower abdomen after having sex can be due to uterine contractions which are associated with an orgasm. This is a normal finding and the pain subsides spontaneously.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
