What Are The Reasons For Getting Sudden Twinges In Throat?

I have been getting sudden twinges in my throat for the past few months. They are not related to eating or drinking - they can happen at any time. I have not been to a GP yet because it is expensive. But I am getting concerned about what might be causing it.

Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding sudden twinges in your throat not related with eating any thing etc.

Here I would like to tell you that twinges any where in body is the result of irritation of nerves (sensory) supplying that particular region. This may be physical as nerve compression or neuropathy.

It is therefore now becomes necessary to consult your neurologist for neurological examination and necessary investigations for reaching to correct diagnosis and that will be accordingly manage.

Regards.
