What Are The Reasons For Red Spots On Torso And Itching Throughout The Body?

I have a red spot (about 1/2 inch in diameter) on the right side of my torso. It is a single spot and it dry and itchy. It has been about two weeks and it hasn t healed and I m not sure if I should buy a type of over the counter cream or make an appt to see my doctor. I ve been feeling itchy all over my body but there are no other spots or indications of lesions.

Such red itchy scaly lesion can be due to fungal infection or allergic rash.
I will advise yout o visit your dermatologist in person for making a diagnosis so that correct treatment can be recommended.
