What Are The Recovery Chances When Suffering From Brain Tumor?
My twin brother has an inoperable brain tumor, it is a Gliosis infiltrating Glioma with features of Gliomtosis cerebri grade 3. He is getting radiation and chem now for 6 weeks. He seems to be getting worse after 3 weeks of treatment. His one leg is like DEAD, he can t move it. He is now in a wheel chair. My question is there a chance the treatment will make him better for at least awhile? I know it doesn t look good but is this as good as he s going to be? Thank you
This is a severe condition and you already know it. In my opinion you should ask his oncologist for what expectations you can wait for. Theoretically, these are not good signs which means that it is progressing. However, just follow the instructions of your oncologist and hope for him to get better.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Jolanda Nikolla, Pulmonologist
