What Are The Repercussion Of Accidentally Putting Suppository In The Vagina Of A Child?

My preschooler needed a suppository and she is a hard person to get suppositories in because she gets them so frequently. I accidentally inserted it in her vagina and it was in there over a half hour before she said something is burning her private. I immediately checked her and it was still intact and hanging out. She s not complaining anymore but should I be concerned for damage done.

There should not be permanent damage.

If she continues to complain of discomfort you can try soaks with baking soda to ease her discomfort.
This can be done for 10 to 15 minutes.

If the pain remains then you can give her some medication to help.
