What Are The Repercussion Of Eating Plaster Of Paris?
I ve been eating wall plaster and sand since i was a kid. I ve stopped eating dust years ago but can t stop myself feom eating wall plaster and the urge to eat it on daily basis is increasing day by day and i can t control it. I ve almost eaten my home s 2 3 walls plaster and paint. I ve eaten a box full of plaster of paris for about a month. How can i get rid of this. I need to stop it but even if I try to I can t. Is this normal? Am I in serious trouble ? Am I healthy ? Please help !
Urge to eat plaster of Paris could be due to underlying iron deficiency. I suggest you to get iron studies done which includes iron, TIBC, iron saturation and Ferritin done. Eating plaster of Paris can lead to indigestion and malabsorption.
