What Are The Repercussions Of Ibuprofen Ingestion By A Child?

I m not sure if my 22 month old (21 lbs) ingested a 200mg ibuprofen. She had one in her hand going towards her mouth which I immediately took away. I m not sure if she had more as she found it on a public restroom floor as I turned to put something in her diaper bag.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
200mg ibuprofen is very toxic dose for 22 months old child.
So if she had ingested it accidentally, she would definitely had vomiting,
If she had no vomiting then look for excessive crying, abdominal pain, yellowish discoloration of sclera and urine.
If any of these is seen then consult pediatrician.
Possibility of ingestion is very less as 22 months old child can not swallow big tablet.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your daughter. Thanks.
