What Are The Repercussions Of Accidental Ingestion Of Diovan?

Hi I normally take a dose of diovan at night, this morning I accidentally took my husband s Atenolol. I did not realized it until I was about to reach for the same bottle tonight and my husband said it was his meds. Today I was complaining of feeling like floating. Should I go to the emergency room?

Hello,

If you accidentally tool Atenolol, this has been reduced your heart rate, causing you to feel floating.

I do not think you should go to the emergency room. Just keep well hydrated, do monitor your blood pressure frequently, record the results for reference.

If blood pressure will be too low (lower than 100/60), then, should go to ER. Otherwise, wait until the body will get better on its own.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
