General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

If you swallow a piece of chicken your esophagal mucosa gets traumatized or scratched. An inflammation is formed and you may feel discomfort for some days. It will go away by itself and no treatment is needed.

Try to eat slowly other times, eat small portions and take time to chop it properly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka,
