What Are The Repercussions Of Inhaling Dust Cleaner?

I was working, while one of my coworkers sprayed dust cleaner, near me and I walked in it. I inhaled some of it, I threw up, and feeling a little headed. I m just worried that it would affect my baby since I m 8 weeks pregnant. Do I need to go into the er? Or what should I do?

Hi,

We will try to help you in the best way possible. First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared, no allergic reaction may be temporary and will not affect baby unless contaminated by some such disease which is communicable vertically.

However long-standing allergies, if history is positive in parents, may go to the next generation but it's not based on this single exposure but is genetic already.

If you feel distressed or difficulty in breathing, yes you may need to have an ER review and get anti-allergic shot if needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
