I have been having a problem and have been treated for epedidmytis for a year and a half. I do not have infection but stll get inflimation as well as the pain. I am in the e.r. at least once a week. I have seen two urologists who do the same treat me fo infection and give me pain pills. I have had at least 50 ultrasounds and 15 sonagrams and 2 catscans. They cant find the problem but are now referring me to a infectious disease to have surgery of the epedymitis. what will be the results of this surgery?
Hi. Thank for your query. Noted your history of chronic epididymitis for which you have taken consultation of 2 Urologists, visit ER at least once a week and has many ultrasounds, and CT scans in the last one and half years.
Now that you have been referred to the infectious disease for epididymectomy, you want to know the results. Yes the result are absolutely good for two reasons if hte diagnosis is certain and the pain is caused by it: 1. You get a diseased part out of the body in which the medical treatment has failed to recover fully. 2. You get a confirmed diagnosis by histopathology examination. IF the cause is specific like tuberculosis, you can be put on the further management. I hope you have already been completed the family.
