What Are The Risks Of Taking Pain Killers?

Hi, I am hypothyroid and on a number of pain killers including voltarol gel and tramadol. Do painkillers make a difference to the reading. My doctors have said that I am running too high, and reduced my medication, but I am now really tired, depressed, and ache all over, plus my hair is falling out.
