What Are The Side Effects And Precautions For Methotrexate Use?

I am a woman who just began taking methotrexate for treatment of psoriasis. The medical information pamphlet I received from the pharmacy says that my stool/urine, blood and vomitous is toxic to whomever comes in contact with it... what about saliva and other bodily fluids (sex-related). Is oral sex out of the question then? Also, my doctor said I can t have alcohol for 24hrs after taking my pills, but the pamphlet says no alcohol... does that mean for the duration I m on the medication, or is it still the 24 hrs following doses? I m confused and kind of embarrassed to ask my pharmacist this...
