What are the side effects from lisinopril? I am extremely sensitive to medications, and have been having pain in my arm which have been worsening for the last 6 months. Ever since my doctor increased my lisinopril doseage. It seems to be the worse within an hour after taking my meds. YYYY@YYYY
Hi! Welcome to HCM! I really appreciate your concern. Lisinopril is known to cause the following side effects: Dry cough, swelling of the lips or eyelids (due to oedema), and fall in BP Lisinopril should be stopped if you develop the above listed side effects and the treatment should be switched over to other group of drugs like Losartan. Lisinopril is less likely to cause the pain in the arm as you has suspected. Kindly consult your doctor for the pain in your arm, it could be muscular pain or pain due to nerve pressure. Take care!
