What Are The Side Effects Of Adderall?
Hi, I was just diagnosed with ADHD so my doctor perscribed me Adderall ER 20mg cap, she told me a few side effects to watch out for over the course of taking my first 30 days of meds. One of those side effects she mentioned was hoarse voice but I cannot recall whether this is a dangerous side effect or if she was just saying that this could happen. I began the medication yesterday morning (around 6AM) and was fine until around 3 or 4PM. My throat feels dry, even when I m not so thirsty but I do feel thirsty a lot more than usual, almost to the point of annoyance. I m not sure if my hoarseness is due to the excess thirst or the medication, maybe an effect of both. I m just hoping someone could tell me if this is a dangerous side effect or if I can continue the medication until I can schedule an appointment with my doctor.

I can understand your concern. Dry mouth and hoarseness of voice are both side effects of Adderall you are taking. Keep sipping water, chew sugarless chewing gums to keep the mouth hydrated.
This is not an emergency and you can wait till you make an appointment with your doctor but I would like to caution you that as you are experiencing these two side effects already, there are chances that you might feel others that the doctor cautioned you about. So watch out for them and if they are severe, seek immediate treatment.
When you take the appointment and consult the doctor, he/she will either prescribe other medicines to control side effects or change the dose of the same.
