What Are The Side Effects Of Aviane Birth Control Pills?

I am currently on the birth control pill aviane but I've been having a lot of bleeding during intercourse. My doctor prescribed lo overal 30mcgm but I'm really worried about side effects and weight gain. Is there a better pill or are my chances of just upping my dose from the 20mcgm high in gaining more weight?
