Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have autoimmune disease resulting in microscopic colitis, polymyalgia and stage 2 1/2 liver disease. To treat the liver disease, which drug, azathioprine or mycophenolate, is the most effective and/or the least toxic to take? I m very concerned about the possible side effects of those drugs, particularly lymphoma. What is the incidence of serious or fatal outcomes?
