Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am now taking Benicar, bystolic and amlodipine besylate (5mg) for my blood pressure. They seem to work but I have so many of the side effects like, tiredness and for the last year or so, pain in my shoulders and arms. I thought it was because of the mouse use (which was making it worse in retrospect...) but I still have the pain after I quit using the mouse. Is there a single pill that substitutes for the three that might be giving me less problems. I read the side effects for all three...
You are right, a medication that lower blood pressure do cause weakness and body aches. In your list x the most important drug that may cause it is bystalic.
So you should talk to your doctor about this as he may reduce the dose of this or change it.
He would also check for other causes of your symptoms like anaemia, electrolyte abnormalities, CPK etc.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Mahboob Ur Rahman , General & Family Physician
