What Are The Side Effects Of Biotin?

I am 21 years old. After my son was born 2 years ago, I started taking Biotin to help my hair grow, heard about it from a friend. I had severe chest pains after taking it. I stopped taking Biotin immediately and the chest pains stopped. Recently, I started taking a multivitamin. I started having chest pains again as well as my left arm going numb. I read the ingredients, and noticed that my multivitamin contains Biotin. Obviously this is an allergic reaction of some sort. I didn't know if I needed to go the the dr to make sure everything is ok with my heart. I went once to a specialist that told me I was too young to have heart problems and completely disregarded what I was experiencing. Thank you.
