What Are The Side Effects Of Carboplatin And Gemzar When Taken Together?

My Mom is taking a combination of Carboplatin and Gemzar for ovarian cancer. The first time she took the combo she experienced chest pain, the next week she only took the Gemzar but her blood pressure shot up to 212/112 but she had forgotten her blood pressure med that day. Can the combo cause blood pressure problems.
